Convene
What’s the spiral?
You know the one.
The thing you’ve replayed six different ways. The decision you keep bringing up. The one where every answer creates another question.
Dump it here.
Write it the way you’d text the friend who’s good at this. Messy is fine. Too much context is fine. Either will figure out the decision, assemble the right Council, and ask for the missing facts that could actually change the call.
What happens next?
- 1
First, we find the actual decision.
Sometimes the thing you’re asking isn’t the thing you’re deciding. Either separates the decision from the noise and figures out what’s actually at stake.
- 2
Then we assemble your Council.
Different decisions need different perspectives. Money might get a CFO. A career move might need a Strategist. Someone will probably be skeptical. Someone should think about the upside. They won’t be chosen to agree.
- 3
They argue it out.
Each seat takes a side. They push back, disagree with each other, and surface things you may have missed. If an unanswered question could change where they land, the Council asks.
- 4
Then there’s you.
See where the Council lands. Add your own leaning. Invite the people who actually know you to weigh in before they see it. Sometimes everybody agrees. Sometimes absolutely nobody does. Both are useful.
This isn’t “ask AI what to do.”
Either isn’t here to make your decisions for you. It’s here to make sure you’ve actually looked at them.
- From the practical side.
- The reckless side.
- The financial side.
- The five-years-from-now side.
- And occasionally the side you’d rather pretend isn’t there.
Ready?
Dump the spiral.
